OUR CURRICULUM is designed after CISCE directives to impart holistic education to our children. Its objective is to diagnose the learning inhibitions of learners and formulate strategies to overcome them. In designing the curriculum we follow the following golden guidelines :

  1. Conformity with the values enshrined in the Constitution.
  2. All round development of the child.
  3. Building up child's knowledge, potentiality and talent.
  4. Development of physical and mental abilities to the fullest extent.
  5. Learning through activities, discovery and exploration in a child friendly and child- centric manner.
  6. Medium of instructions shall, as far as practicable, be in English.
  7. Making the child free of fear, trauma and anxiety and helping the child to express views freely
  8. Comprehensive and continuous evaluation of child, understanding of knowledge and his or her ability to apply the same.


Academic Setup

Montessori-I to KG

Teaching is activity based and thematic. Our designed Programme imparts linguistic, creative, numerical, social inter-personal, motor and kinesthetic skills leading to the all round development of children in a free environment.

Our early childhood programme emphasizes child-centric, self-directed learning and is concerned with the 'whole child' its intellectual progress as well as its social, emotional, creative and physical well being. It provides children with a rich and stimulating environment in which proper learning can occur. Concrete experiences in a number of areas are provided for children of this age to learn by doing.

·Through practical life experiences (shoe-tying, cleaning up, serving their snacks, etc)

·Through specially designed sensorial material, as children try to classify, compare, and arrange objects in their environment.

·Through language experiences: Storytelling, reading, role ply, writing experiences, animated videos, rhythm, and rhyming process.

·Through country, shape identification, computing and comparing tiny tots begin to grasp basic mathematical relationship.

·Through movement activities during daily games and PE classes.

·Through art, craft and music activities with specialists in fine arts.


In our early childhood programme we adopt the way as children naturally learn. They learn best in a relaxed ambience, where they can freely and recreationally explore and implore their environment with joy and in a play way method. The school provides spacious and airy smart classroom with simple décor and colourful furniture, and the provision of the latest audio-visual teaching aids.

Subjects taught : English, Mathematics, Science, Bengali/Hindi (in KG only), Value Education (Moral Science).

Co-curricular : Art, Rhymes, Song, Dance, Games.



Primary

Std-I to STD-IV

These classes have an integrated learning Programme schedule and emphasis is put on creating a stress-free environment. Interactive teaching methods are applied with audio-visual aid to develop communication and expressional skills of children.

The goal of the primary curriculum is to lay a strong educational foundation. It is broadly based and takes into account the fact that each one enters the formal education with different level of readiness. The curriculum is planned to develop in the students a respect and love for learning, while giving them the strong basic skills, which they will need to continue their education. Emphasis laid on building up language skills in English. Through projects and by, earning with hand, heart and head the pupils will develop all aspects of their personality.

Secondary Section

STD-V to STD-X

The Academic Programme is devised to develop formal study skills and strong work habits among the students, Modern classroom techniques are followed to impart education to our children.

The Middle school (V-VIII) is a smooth transition from Primary to High School. The syllabus for every subject of stds. V, VI, VII, and VIII is framed by the teachers themselves, hence it is very flexible and needs of the child are incorporated in the syllabus. The students of IX and X are prepared for an all India Examination, ICSE, ( Indian Certificate of secondary Education) conducted by the conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate, New Delhi. We offer the students of stds. IX and X , the following subjects .

English Language and literature, Hindi, Bengali, History & civics and Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Commercial Studies, Physical Education, Computer Application, Commercial Application and Arts to cater to their individual abilities and interests.

In addition, students take exploratory courses and acquire proficiency in a skill offered through the Hobbies programme. During this period the students acquire and reach a satisfactory level in physical education , a third language, community service and value education. The project work supports and extends the innate curiosity of the child and develops the attitudes and skills necessary to gain an understanding of the world around. Students learn in a caring environment where their ideas are freely expressed and valued. This creates a stimulating learning situation for all.
